Note*   Christan Christian Deihl arrived in Philadelphia September 15, 1749 from Franconia, or Palatinate (Dutchy of Wirtenburg, Germany), on the ship Edenburg from Rotterdam. Since he was under sixteen, he does not appear on either the ships passengers list or as having taken the prescribed 'Oath of Allegiance' upon arrival. Also arriving on that vessel were Philip Henry Diehl, possibly either Christians father or other relative. In 1767, Chrisian and Rachel Krebs (Regina Krebsin) left New Hanover, Pa. and purchased a farm in Springfield Township, Bucks Co. Pa. In 1773, they removed to a farm in Buffalo Township, Northumberland (now Union) County, Pa. and in 1790, they removed to Nittany Mountain, College Township in Centre Co., Pa. Here, in 1796, Christian erected a Grist Mill and a Saw Mill. Christian Dale, ammased considerable holdings through the purchase of land, clearing the land and re-saleing. Rachiel and Christian are buried at the old Dale burying grounds on the back hill of Lamont, Pa.
